Jean-Pierre is originally from Cameroun. He is currently enrolled at the polytechnic school of Dakar as an computer engineer. He specializes in telecommunication networks, system administration, and programming. He has a keen interest in developing under the GNU/Linux platform. His favorite languages include C/C++, Java, Python, PHP, and Gtk+. He is passionate about Internet Technology.
Jean-Pierre has dedicated much time and effort in promoting the exploitation of Open Source software. According to Jean-Pierre, "profiting from technology is essential for developing countries like Senegal". Jean-Pierre is the contact member of Senegal Ubuntu TEAM, a team of Ubuntu (a Linux-based operating system) and free software users. He is also developing a CMS core with some of his friends.
